About

…depending on the task and the context, the objective of our architecture is to allow each new building to make a positive contribution to the built environment, to the landscape, to its owner, and to the wider community.

Whether designing a mountain cabin in Scandinavia; administering a construction contract in the Caribbean; producing the detailed design for a new hospital block in the UK; or designing a new-build residence to the exacting requirements of the Passivhaus standard - we approach each job with integrity and total commitment; and execute our appointed role as architect in a diligent and professional manner.

Process

Holistic approach

By collaborating with, and supporting clients throughout the process of design, and during construction, we ensure our designs deliver and our buildings work

By consulting with building users and local communities, we gain an understanding of people’s ideas, aspirations and local context, and develop solutions with which people have a real engagement

Passivhaus

Passivhaus is the world’s most rigorous energy and comfort standard - a quality assurance system backed by a robust certification process

The evidence of design and of the actual construction is provided to an independent certifier, who after a rigorous assessment, will issue Passivhaus Certification only if the building fully complies with the standard. It is not easy to achieve Passivhaus

Feasibility studies

We can provide a feasibility study service that will help you see the options available; and give you professional advice on how to achieve them:

...measuring the existing building or site; drawing up simple plans or sketches; and establishing the budget and timescale for the project
